For Truckers - Driving With Your Gears And Your Brakes

The economy is in middle of crisis? When other people got laid off, trucking business still carry on! Yup, there're always jobs for a pro truck drivers, since lots of companies need persons who can transport products, materials from place to place and for both long and short hauls.



As I stated earlier, in 1992 I became an over-the-road truck driver. In the fall of that year, my father passed away. When you're driving down the road in a big truck, you have the opportunity to do lots of thinking. One day, as I recall, my JD Truck Training Centre was out in the great northwest, Montana to be exact. Thinking of my past, my dad, and where I was, I started to create a poem. I call it This Great Land Of Ours.

I also want to stress that against what you might believe, trucking companies work very hard at hiring as many students as they can get. You would think that a company would want all the experience behind the wheel that they can get. Well, this is simply not true. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure why, but I have theories. And yap, you guessed it - I never have an unspoken thought - so I'll share them.

The most important thing to do when preparing your resume is to be honest. You will also want to make sure that you have a professional looking resume. If you don't type, have someone type it for you. Don't turn in a hand-written resume! Your resume will show your past few jobs and any education you have had. Make sure you list the Truck driving school you attended. Finally, you will want to show any experience and skills that you have that are relevant to the position you are applying for.

I have tried to reform Jesse to the best of my ability. I started with a book given to me by my brother-in-law; called Good Masters make Good Dogs. I followed this book to the t, child-locking my kitchen, putting shock systems on things, but it did absolutely nothing. Jesse just out-smarted it all. I was at a loss. I then turned to my veterinarian. The vet taught me tricks to correct misbehavior in animals that was "fool-proof". Well, obviously, my dog is either a genius or a dunce. Jesse seemed hopeless, resistant to any type of correction.

Driver training across the country focuses on turn signals, mirrors, seat belts and all the other modern safety tools that help a driver avoid a traffic accident. However there isn't much discussion on what to do when you are now the crestfallen owner of a twisted hunk of metal instead of the reliable car that HR Truck Licence you used Lr licence to drive.

Don't forget to assess your family's hobbies and entertainment preferences. If you're golfers, introduce puppy to the golf bag, spiked shoes, golf hat, etc. If you're boaters, introduce puppy to the boat several times before taking him out on the water. Baseball fans? Let puppy watch his family throw and hit balls. Even better, take puppy to a local children's game and sit in the bleachers with him for 20 to 30 minutes. This is a great new experience for puppy. You can typically find a baseball, soccer or football game every weekend! Anyone up for basketball? Find a public court and sit with puppy (not too close). Let him watch the moving ball and all the frenzied action!
